HARRISBURG (July 1) – The House unanimously concurred with compromise amendments to Sen. Richard Kasunic’s mine reform bill Tuesday afternoon, sending the bill to the governor, who has promised to sign it.

Capitolwire: Senate, House reach autism mandate compromise; Rendell to sign it

HARRISBURG (July 1) – A compromise autism insurance bill broke a yearlong stalemate and passed the House unanimously Tuesday afternoon with the endorsement of its author, Speaker Denny O’Brien, R-Philadelphia.

It is expected to easily pass the Senate and receive Gov. Ed Rendell’s signature, O’Brien, other lawmakers and administration sources said.

Capitolwire: $800 million increase for RACP passes House

HARRISBURG (July 1) – An $800 million increase in borrowing for the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program passed the House late Tuesday afternoon, 151-52.

Attempts to increase funding for RACP, which provides for economic development construction projects like stadiums, film studios, economic development projects, convention centers and concert halls, had been stalled since last summer.
