HARRISBURG — Lt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll waited at least a month to tell the public she has a rare form of cancer, staffers and the governor’s office said Thursday.

Knoll, 77, who is undergoing chemotherapy, notified Gov. Ed Rendell in mid-July that she was sick and being treated but only told the governor Saturday that she was suffering from neuroendocrine cancer, her Chief of Staff Sal Sirabella said.
